Hello…

A smiling woman in a white dress standing outdoors in a garden with flowers, holding a wicker basket.

I’m Sam Hayston, a fully qualified naturopath and medical herbalist based in the deep south- Invercargill.

Two vases with wildflowers on a crumpled white background, one with tall stems and large flowers, the other with smaller flowers and more delicate stems.

Like many who arrive at naturopathy or are longing for a more holistic approach to their health; I have had my own health challenges. Becoming incredibly frustrated with the band-aid treatment I was receiving (with no prevail), I began searching for alternative solutions. Searching for alternatives guided me to reconnect with nature, and enabled me to listen and accept what my body truly needed. Essentially my physical symptoms were a call for help.

Everything is a lesson. My experiences and health challenges have shaped me as a practitioner. Having empathy for what others are experiencing, guiding them and inspiring change stems directly from my own challenges.

Treatment approach

A blend of traditional wisdom and current research guides Sam’s approach. She uses reflexology, nutritional, herbal and energetic medicine, along with lifestyle interventions as tools to empower individuals to reconnect with their innate ability to heal and thrive.

Rest assured that all recommendations will be practical (no crazy restrictive diets involved) and gentle.
